Eric Chan is a self-taught portrait artist specializing in ink line drawing and oil painting on reclaimed wood panels.  His work is a celebration of the diaspora and indigenousness, an exploration of diverse and inclusive queerness, and of the many intersections of subjects and narratives that have been historically excluded, devalued, and misrepresented by institutions of power, wealth, status, and culture and reinforced by artwork of more traditionally-primed surfaces and conventionally-defined dimensions.
